Confessions From An Emotional Eater 08/10/2010
Okay, let's just put it all out on the table. Let's get real about our ever-so-complex relationships with food. I'll go first... Today someone said something to me that I interpreted as "an attack." Instead of stopping to notice my emotions and get curious about them, I proceeded with pure judgment (of myself and the other person). And without any hesitation, my hand reached instinctively for the trail mix I had in my bag. There was no physiological hunger involved; this was 100% emotionally-triggered eating. Not until I was driving home from the meeting did I stop, breathe, and get curious about my actions (aka, reactions). Now it's your turn. Hearing what you have to say is important to me, so I have decided to incentivize you. Send me 150-300 words on your most recent struggles around food - and BE CANDID! Only through authentic sharing will we experience transformation. And I'd love to share it with the Tribe, but only with your permission. In gratitude for your time and courage, I gift you with a FREE strategy call with me! By the end of our time together, you will have an action plan to instantly begin your liberation from the hold food has on you. Send your story to me: kate@returntohappy.com. If your submission meets the criteria, we'll get your FREE session scheduled as soon as possible. I'm looking forward to hearing from you! Add Comment |
