What's Fun Got To Do With It? 09/16/2010
My theory is we are born, we live a life, and we die. Putting religious beliefs aside, every one of us shares the same stark reality. The differences among us occur in the details of living. And the beauty of it is that each of us has 100% control over how we respond to the details in each moment. How do you want to respond to life? I don't know about you, but if I'm going to die either way, I WANT TO HAVE SOME FUN!!!! Most would agree they want to have some fun in life - the problem is, "life gets in the way." There are bills to pay, mouths to feed... we can't all go off and join the circus (ah yes, the glam life of a circus roadie). I have a crazy idea: What if we can do both? "Dichotomy thinking" is what I believe keeps us from living an amazing life we love waking up to each morning. We're so busy responding with "but..." that we forget about the AND. Let's test the theory right now - in 3 simple steps. Step 1: When you're done reading, head straight to the nearest mirror. Step 2: Stand with your back to the mirror. Step 3: Put on your best ostrich face, turn around, and say "well, hello there sexy ostrich lady" in your most sultry, whispery voice. There. How was it? Any element of fun to be found? Any shift in your way of being? Okay, so I'm getting a wee bit silly. But the point is, fun is in endless supply and our inner child is begging for even a smidgeon of the good stuff. Adding fun can range from the quick and silly to the purposefully passionate - and all of it leads to fulfillment. I'm excited to play more - and I want to share this with you. I want to show you how to Find Your Fun Again. I want to show you how to Infuse Purposeful Passion Into Every Area Of Your Life. Who's with me? Share your thoughts below! Add Comment |
